Homestead
Farm's shop offers an ever expanding range of locally sourced
foods and Lancashire speciality produce; from fresh local vegetables
(some home grown) to milk, eggs, organic cheeses, sauces, pickles,
condiments, biscuits, cakes, sweets and farmhouse ice-cream,
to name a few. We offer some gluten free and no added sugar
and sugar free products. Vegetable and food hampers can made
to order and make a fantastic gift. Why not call in for a warm,
friendly farmhouse welcome from Margaret and her staff. Disabled
access is available.
Our
tearoom uses Lancashire, Yorkshire or Earl Grey tea. We
make your cappuccino or latte with coffee roasted in Clitheroe
and milk from a neighbouring village. Fresh made soup,
sandwiches and salads can be followed by a home made cake
or scone, with cream if you like! You can relax in the
shop or on a fine day why not sit out on the picnic tables
and take in the views over Martin Mere to Southport. |

Farm's Shop is located just off the B5246, 1.5 miles north of
Martin Mere Wildlife and Wetlands Trust. From Holmeswood or
Burscough just follow the brown tourist signs for Martin Mere
(with the little duck on) and you are sure to find us. Click

Margaret
and Gary have lived and farmed at Homestead Farm since 1986.
Gary’s family have now farmed in Holmeswood for four generations.
Our aim to promote good quality local foods, and our local area,
with convenient shopping hours and free parking so the shop
was opened in March 2005. Now you have the opportunity to shop
locally and keep food miles down, in a pleasant friendly family
atmosphere.
