Homestead Farm's Shop is situated on a fully working arable farm. This family farm is headed by Margaret & Gary Seddon who live and work at the farm with their sons. The Seddon family have farmed the local area for four generations.

Ten years ago Margaret set up an 'honesty box' at the farm gate to sell their potatoes. Customers drove up, took the potatoes and and left the money in a old tin. It proved popular and in March 2005 they opened a small farm shop selling their own fresh vegetables and other produce from the surrounding area. As the business expanded, Margaret remained passionate in her quest for regionally sourced produce.

Early 2009 saw the opening of their newly refurbished and extended farm shop with 70 seater restaurant and fully equipped kitchen area. The building was originally an army barracks at Weeton, near Preston. It was dismantled and transported section by section to Homestead Farm by tractor . The restaurants beautiful wooden tables and chairs have all been hand crafted by H J Berry in Chipping, Lancashire. It's a place to enjoy delicious food sourced from the region and soak in the Homestead views.

As well as farm produce, the shop stocks a good range of produce sourced from the region....so you can take home some tasty Lancashire food and other tasty treats.

The farm Collies are 'Flash' & 'Kip'.

'Flash' was hand reared on a farm and thinks he's human. We haven't the heart to tell him differently.

'Kip' was named after his favourite hobby...snoozing! We couldn't even get him up for the photo.

Call and see them...if Kip is awake that is!

The farm shop started from selling our potatoes from the farm gate.

People took the potatoes and placed their money in an old tin.

A big 'THANK YOU' to all our customers who have supported us over the years.
